It’s not over until His dream for your life comes to pass!

“Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.” Genesis 37:5

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

While attending a women’s conference many years ago at a large stadium, I heard the voice of the Lord whisper in my ear, “Why not you? Why can’t this be you, My daughter?” Then He said, “I will expand your reach to many across the world and I will use you in even greater ways to teach and preach My Word.” I breathed in that moment. Unbeknownst to me, I was going to need it for the weeks, months, and years ahead. The Bible says that Joseph had a dream and his brothers hated him even more. Shortly after that experience, I went through the darkest depression I’d ever faced and tried to end my life. The vision I received from God at that conference seemed lost. I felt like it was over for me. But in Christ, it’s never over until He says it’s over. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, the Lord helped me get up, roll up my sleeves, and fight with everything in me to renew my mind, rediscover who I am, and reclaim my destiny in God. It wasn’t easy, but God’s Holy Spirit helped me every step of the way, and years later, I am seeing the fulfillment of that dream. God is expanding my reach to minister the gospel to many across the world.

Maybe your actions or the actions of others have caused you great pain and disappointment in your life, but it doesn’t have to be the end of your story. The Word of God says you are saved and called with a holy calling, not according to your works (or lack of works) but according to His own purpose and grace which He gave you in Christ Jesus before the world began (see 2 Timothy 1:9)!

You are victorious through Jesus no matter how you feel and no matter how it looks! Determine not to feel sorry for yourself! Get up, my sister, and roll up your sleeves! Fight with everything in you to:

1) Renew your mind with God’s Word (see Romans 12:1-2)

2) Rediscover who you are in Christ (see Luke 15:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:10)

3) Reclaim your destiny (see Genesis 32:22-32; Acts 20:24; Philippians 3:14)

Say out loud from your heart: “It’s not over for me! It’s not over until I accomplish everything God purposed me to do in the earth by His grace and power. It’s not over until His dream for my life comes to pass! The one who calls me is faithful, and He will do it!”

(Read 1 Thessalonians 5:24)

  7. Thank you my sister for sharing this word. I have grown up in an amazing Christian family and have been on the mission field in my late teens! I waited til I was 27 to get married to a man who went to Bible college who later became an elder in the church along with together doing Sunday school as well as a home fellowship leader. I believed that God had truly brought us together only to find out that the father of my beautiful children was having an affair in the last 4 years of our marriage of 28 years! I praise God for His love His faithfulness that has carried me through the past 10years and am excited to see what He has got my future. My boys and their precious families are going strong in the Lord and I cannot thank Him and love Him enough. We have an amazingly wonderful Heavenly Father ❤️❤️
