“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” Psalms 46:1, ESV.
When Martha was preparing food for Jesus and His disciples and saw Mary sitting at His feet instead of helping her, she said, “Jesus, don’t you care that I’m having to do all of this alone (see Luke 10:40)?”
When the disciples were in the boat with Jesus and it looked like the storm was about to destroy them, the disciples cried out, “Jesus don’t you care that we’re about to die (see Mark 4:38)?”
Many of us are crying out the same thing today, “Jesus, don’t you care about my failing health? Don’t you care that my marriage is falling apart? Don’t you care that I don’t have any money to buy for my children?”
Yes, He cares for you far more than you know. He is a very present help in the time of trouble (see Psalms 46:1). When the enemy comes in like a flood, He lifts up a standard against him (see Isaiah 59:19). He’s in the middle of the situation with you and He is mighty, He will save you. He rejoices over you with joy and rests in His love for you (see Zephaniah 3:17).”
Prayer: Father God, forgive me for doubting your love and concern for me. You love me more than anyone. Thank you for being my very present help in times of trouble. Thank you for never leaving me alone. You are right here in the midst of my life and you will save. I have no reason to be afraid. You will deliver me. You will save me. You will provide for me. Thank you for being my mighty God. No one is greater than you. Thank you for restoring my faith and confidence in your love for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This morning I really needed to hear your words..After losing a job i had for 22 years everything i have done feels like a bad choice. I have tremendous financial problems and startingal over in a work force at age 62e me just really put me in a world i don’t know and has made me doubt my abilities and my faith.Jesus please forgive me.
