“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” James 4:7, NIV.
Sometimes thoughts of fear, doubt, and unbelief come to attack my mind, but Holy Spirit will remind me that I am who the Lord says I am, I have what He says I have, and I will do what He says I will do by His grace and power. He reminds me that everything He says about me is true, and everything the devil says is a lie.
Then I receive those words and speak them from my mouth. Immediately all those thoughts of fear, doubt, and unbelief that were pointed at me like a hundred bullets, become still and fall to the ground. Then I experience the peace of God and feel His ministering angels strengthening my heart.
When Jesus was tempted of the devil in the wilderness, He spoke the written word and said what His Father said, and the devil left him. The Bible tells us how angels came and ministered strength to Him (see Matthew 4:1-12). My sister, your can experience the same victory over fear, doubt and unbelief, but you have to follow the example of Jesus.
1. Submit to God by receiving God’s word about your situation.
2. Resist the devil by speaking the truth of God’s word out loud from your mouth.
3. Watch the devil flee and cease his attack on your mind.
4. Receive the peace of God and be strengthened.
Say out loud by faith, “Right now, I submit to God by receiving the truth of His word. I am who the Lord says I am, I have what He says I have, and I will do what He says I will do by His grace and power. Everything the Lord says about me is true, and everything the devil says is a lie. He flees from me now! Because I have followed the example of Jesus, I receive the peace of God and His strength to my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Following in the steps of Jesus is an absolute privilege, I am humbled and honored that He considers me worthy to follow his blameless examples. Father, today I submit to the author of Your life changing Word, I speak it aloud for the enemy to hear. I KNOW that EVERYTHING You say about me is TRUE and every word from the accuser of my soul is a big fat LIE! I’m watching that punk run away from me RIGHT NOW, in the mighty name of JESUS! I now receive the perfect and powerful PEACE of God. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

I have been in His presence in a powerful way this morning, like no other time before, before my usual connections online to share His word, we connected on a very deeeeeep level. He reminded and reassured me of who I am in Him and of the victory my family and I have through Him, in this ongoing battle with the forces of the enemy.
My sisters, quiet time with the Father ….even before reading devotions….is ESSENTIAL. Open His Word and purpose to read it daily, eventually reaching from cover to cover, purposefully. Each day try for at least a chapter but read until 3 things stand out and talk to God about them…not like a to-do list but pray in the Spirit, wait and listen….pray through until your spirit is filled with His will. Give Him thanks and praise for opening up a a two-way relationship through prayer as we talk to Him and LISTEN to Him during this quiet time. You will be utterly transformed!! His Word is LIFE! The devotionals will reveal confirmation as this one has done for me after my quiet time with Him!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
Everything it takes to follow Jesus example and to be secure in Christ and His word that came out in quiet time came out here!
God you are awesome!!!
