“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” James 2:26, NKJV.
Thinking about obeying God isn’t the same as obeying Him. Thinking about praying isn’t the same as praying. Wanting to go somewhere isn’t the same as getting up and going there. Sometimes, we can get stuck in what we want to do and what we’re thinking about doing and not accomplish anything at all. My sister, it’s time we put some actions behind our words. It’s time to let those plans in our hearts turn into something we can physically see with our eyes and touch and feel with our hands.
How deep do you want your prayer life and study of God’s word to be this time next year? Do something today to contribute toward that goal. How healthy do you want to be mentally, emotionally, and physically this time next year? Where do you want to be financially? How fit and tone do you want that blessed body to be? We have to do something today that puts us closer to reaching our goals.
Your Father God is thinking peaceful thoughts about you, thoughts to give you a hope and a bright future. He wants to give you an expected end, but He didn’t leave it as a thought and desire alone. He wasn’t satisfied until He saved you and reconciled you to Himself through Jesus. The blessing is you’re made in His image and likeness. As He is, so are we in this world. You are a beautiful woman of God, my sister, who imitates her Father. Don’t spend too much time thinking and wanting. Pursue it and live the life God has called you to live.
Prayer: Yes, Father, I hear you and receive your words. Just as you thought of my salvation and sent Jesus. Help me put actions behind the thing you have put in my heart. Help me Lord not to be the same woman this time next year. I receive your strength to do something today towards overall success. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
