“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” Proverbs 8:17
Here, in this Scripture, the word “early” means to dawn. It also means to be up early at any task. I believe not only does the Lord want us to seek Him before we start our day, but through His WORD He is also encouraging us to seek Him before making decisions. I call it “checking in.”
Everyday before my husband comes home from work, he calls me just to check in and see if there’s anything I need him to bring. In the same way he checks in with me, I believe the LORD loves for us to check in with Him. Before you accept that job, before you marry that man, before you purchase that home, before you relocate to that city, check in. I can’t tell you the number of times God protected me and my family and guided us simply because we slowed down long enough to listen and follow God’s leading. You may not hear an audible voice saying do this or that, just a peaceful and gentle nudge in the right direction. That nudge can bless you and your family if you let it.
One of the enemy’s primary goals is to distract believers. If he can distract us, he can increase the chances of us making wrong choices that could cost us plenty. Don’t let the enemy distract you. Let the LORD help you stay sober and vigilant. Listen for the direction of the LORD. Follow His peace and His nudges. When you do this, you will find wisdom, life and the favor of the Lord (see Proverbs 8:35).
Prayer: Father God, thank you! I pray you guide me today. Don’t let me become so distracted that I miss it and make costly mistakes. Help me learn how to seek you early before I enter into situations that could have been avoided. Lord, help me to be extra sensitive to the leading of your Holy Spirit. My life and the lives of those around me depends on it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When you know better, you do better😊..Lord, PLEASE CONTINUE TO HELP/GUIDE ME TO SEEK YOU MORE!! PROTECT ME, MY FAMILY & FRIENDS FROM DANGERS SEEN & UNSEEN LORD! REMOVE EVERYBODY & EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT OF/FROM YOU OUT OF OUR LIVES!! I THANK YOU🙌 & I PRAISE YOU LORD💃👏 FOR YOUR WORD..THAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED & ON THE STRAIGHT & NARROW PATH!! IT IS MY LIGHT!! Life has change so fast…Some my doing, a lot my family, my brother, his girlfriend, in jail both of them now, my 1 year old child… I’ve had changes due
Life is the opposite of what Ive tried my best, to have a normal.. Lost of hours due to another caregiver…
My Mom wants her way of me moving with her, while she never keeps her word & once my brother out of jail, he will go back in the house. I also have my 2 doggies.
The house is in back taxes, not her, the step Daugther, & a list long to fix things in house, borrowing money from one person to next.
Lord I humble my self in hurt & shame, for my doing, & concern for my rent, more hours, finances, & Lord I do desire a Godly, fruitful, healthy Husband to do this crazy walk of life.
I miss my client that I take care of, I don’t know how it all came to pass for me to lose her.
Lord, Im asking for grace, guidance, protection, dicerment,& a schedule that will work between my first job. Only you Lord can give order, time for church to start going, & yes Lord your will. Give me health, bless my husband keep him a hunger for you, focus on you, & his heart, mind & sprit in you, no after flesh.
