Run, Daughter, Run!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Hebrews 12:1-2, NLT

You are a champion! You are a runner! Run the good race! As you move in your champion stance, make sure your form is directed perfectly on the Lord. Keep your body tall with your eyes fixed on Him. Stay relaxed knowing that He has the perfect pace and path for you to run. Stay warmed up and ready for the race by reading the word and staying in constant prayer. As you prepare to run, listen for the One that will tell you when to go. Trust that He will tell you to move in His perfect timing, and when you go, don’t over jump your start.

As you run, let Him lead you in this race. Take His hand and run in step with Him at His pace. As your feet strike new territory, know that He is by your side. When you are feeling tired, He will fuel you up, so you don’t get worn. When you hit speed bumps, He will help you stride over them with confidence. They may slow you down, but He will give you the endurance to keep on running. When you are feeling heavy, He will carry you.

He understands all your aches and pains during the race, He has suffered too. But He has provided everything you need. He is your fuel. He is the air you need, the water you drink, the food that sustains you. He will keep you going. With Jesus by your side, you can’t fail. Run this race with endurance and with the prize in mind. Your reward is waiting for you. Don’t get distracted by the things of this world. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Run with Him. The two of you have places to go, people to save, and people to free. Trust that His path may be different than yours, but He promises it’s for your good. Run, daughter, run!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for encouraging my heart. You are good and faithful. I choose to run the race you’ve set before me. Help me to stay at your pace, not too far behind you or too far ahead of you. Help me Lord to keep running no matter how tired I get. Help me to keep on receiving your fuel of grace. Help me to keep my eyes stayed on you until I finish my course. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    1. Praise The Lord,
This may sound strange, but this morning I was cleaning my refrigerator. I begin to put one of the bins back and couldn’t get it in. For at least 45 minutes I was struggling with this task and in my mind I kept asking the Holy Spirit to help me, show me. I began to get up set, felt overwhelmed and tired. I stop for a brief moment and thought, I’ll just leave it. Shortly there after I realized I was putting the bin in the wrong space (section). I immediately put everything back in place and then sat down. I was so tired it was unbelievable, actually spiritually and physically tired. I knew immediately I needed to pray and read God’s Word for help and refueling. I knew that I couldn’t be a blessed participant in my day for me or anyone else without a fresh a Word, a fresh Anointing, help and guidance by the Holy Spirit. I needed Him.
When I opened this devotional and read the Devotional Scripture for today Hebrews 12:1-2, my faith got even more ignited. I was surrounded by the love, power and hope in Christ Jesus. The witness of His Word in this devotional was His ever present help and He heard my cry, my prayer, and my need when I called. He is present. Thank you Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit, for every thing and I do mean everything. Thank you for fighting this battle and showing me my help and witnesses for You. Hallelujah.

  10. Amen! Setting my eyes on the price. This the Lenten season, the season when we remember the 40days when Jesus was in the wilderness.
It’s a timely word, the wilderness of Jesus is our day today life. There are trials, temptations, discouragement and many more but when we fix our eyes on Jesus we’ll conquer them all. We need to pray and ask for strength from God since we are of weak nature. Our spirit are willing but our flesh is weak.
Do yu remember Jesus praying in the garden of gethsamane? It was because He’s flesh was weak and He still needed God’s reassurance that He wasn’t alone.
When we feel alone do we cry to God for strength n reassurance? We’ve alot to learn from Jesus.
We should be single minded when it comes to His will. It is hard and difficult, painful too but that’s no reason to loose our focus.
Let’s close our ears to the world’s voice of discouragement, the voice telling us that we can’t make it bcos with Him by our side we’ll make it.
He never promised that our journey will be an easy one but He promised to walk with us each and every step of the way. Dear Lord, help us not to loose focus till we meet thee in heaven to receive our warm hugs of victory. Have mercy on us mortals.
Dear k.k am hia. Love and miss yu. Sending yu warm hugs
