I love watching my mother and father dance. You can see their love for each other and the oneness they’ve developed over time. No one’s stepping on the other person’s feet, and no one’s trying to do their own thing. Even their mistakes become part of the dance.
When we are married to the husband God gave us, we exchange our “I’s” for “We,” and no longer operate independently. We are now joined in a covenant relationship together. From watching my mother and father, I’ve learned marriage is about two people becoming one. Just because you are married doesn’t mean you will automatically know how to flow together as one. It takes time and effort to learn how to be in sync with one another.
The same goes for our relationship with the Lord. We are one with Him, but it takes time for us to learn how to flow as one with Him. Until salvation, we made decisions on our own, leaning to our own understanding and using our best judgment. Now, God is helping us learn to no longer operate independently from Him but as one with Him.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for making me one with you. Thank you for teaching me how to flow with you. Help me not lean to my own understanding but flow with your grace and your Spirit today. Let it be like a beautiful dance. Make even my mistakes part of the dance and be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The LORD answered a prayer today!
I’ve been wanting to see a certain guy from my fitness center in another place….we saw each other at the gas station! It’s been 3 weeks since I saw him at the center and thought maybe he moved or was injured or something like that, but I guess he was on over nights schedule so he couldn’t work out in daytime hours.
