“Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose]” James 4:10, Amplified Bible.
Whenever I go visit the ocean, I am reminded of how small I am in comparison to the vast ocean I see before me. God’s creation humbles me. This is one reason the Lord wants us to spend time with Him daily. It is because it helps us stay humble. Every moment we spend in the presence of an almighty God, we are reminded of who we are in comparison to Him. Seeing His glory and His goodness will humble us. Seeing His hand on our lives and how far He has brought us will humble us. And when we are humbled, we receive loads and loads of grace and mercy.
However, when we don’t visit with Him in prayer, that’s when we find ourselves thinking of ourselves more highly than we ought to think. We find ourselves forgetting who we are in comparison to an almighty God. This incorrect view of ourselves is the result of not visiting with Him.
Come on, my sister. Let’s visit with our Lord today, and be humbled by His glory and be blessed with His grace and mercy. And when anyone asks, how do you stay humble? Tell them, I draw near to God in prayer. The beautiful sight of the Lord humbles me.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for your love and care for me. I draw near to you, and I ask that you will draw near to me. As I look upon you and see your goodness and mercy, I am humbled. Forgive me for not visiting with you. I receive your forgiveness and love. I ask that you keep me close to your side, Lord, and help me stay humble. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good Morning! This is another right on time devotional. My prayer was to accept His plan for my life and owning my responsibility with being more like Him in everyway, to be the light wherever I go.

Yes, I can breathe, live, think, talk, pray, or move without You. Help me to always humble myself knowing that it is in You that I can be exalted in due time. Please bring down every stronghold and vain imagination that is hindering me from stay close to You or getting in Your presence. I need a breakthrough. For Your Glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing the Lords fresh word with us today my husband and I were just speaking of this earlier today

To not forget what the Lord is doing in my life
the Lord placed it in my heart to set alarm every 2 hours to pray and seek what the Lord is revealing to me each day and we focus on that one point
Yesterday as the day went on I was almost for getting what was spoken I started to cry
so to pray and read in the morning and get busy with your life all Day then comes evening I would have not meditated on it all day but this 2 hour reminded kept me on track as my husband and I shared what God is doing in my life keeping yourself accountable to someone is very important
It has been a blessing we are on day 2 of this and it is amazing to stay connected to God if your not used to it as a new Christian
It is helping me to stay focused
