When Jesus was hungry.

“After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry. The tempter came to Him and said, β€œIf You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread” Matthew 4:2-3, Berean Standard Bible.

The tempter came when Jesus was hungry. What are you hungry for today? Do you feel your needs aren’t being met? Do you fear if you don’t something now you and your family won’t make it? Jesus overcome this temptation and so will you. When you’re hungry, I pray you will look to the Lord. When you feel you’re needing more than what your husband is giving, more than what your current job is giving, more than what your church is giving, remember your Father who daily blesses you with all you need in Him. Remember that you do not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. God is your sustainer. He is more than enough.

Everything you’ve been taught by the Holy Spirit is being put to the test, but God knows what the outcome will be. You will pass. You will not go and try to turn a rock into something that feeds you. You will let the Lord strengthen you. You will open you mouth and resist the enemy. God would not have led you to this wilderness if He wasn’t going to see you through it. God wouldn’t have allowed the test, if He wasn’t going to give you strength to pass it.

Prayer: Father God, when it seems like you’re not enough and I need to do something to get my needs met, arrest my spirit. Cause me to stop and remember that you are my sustainer. You are my provider. You are more than enough for me. I love you, Lord, and I thank you for helping me pass the test. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
