When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.

Years ago, I wrote on paper the future I wanted to have. It was to get married, live abroad, and have kids. I placed it in my wallet and read that piece of paper heartache after heartache after heartache.

A few years after writing that dream on a piece of paper, I got married to my husband, moved to Spain, and gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy I have ever laid eyes on. Fast forward to now. I still have that small piece of paper in my wallet, and I give God thanks because I have what I was yearning to have.

Isaiah 60:22 says, “When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.” My sister, do not give up on that dream, be it a career, a break you have been praying to have, a house, a job, a pregnancy. Even when it feels like you are far from having it, continue believing and continue walking by faith, trusting that when the time is right, the Lord will make it happen!

Prayer: Our Jehovah Jireh, thank you for your faithfulness. I pray for my sister reading this right now. Whatever her heart’s desire is, I pray that she receives it in your perfect timing and in your perfect way. Help her not to lose hope or faith. Guide her by your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

  1. Thank you for speaking Gods truth. This word is so encouraging!
In 2017 I had a vision of a multicultural, intergenerational creative center (The Venue- a place of connection) where God manifests healing through connection and arts, like painting, singing, playing musical instruments, and dance. Three years ago I began training in mental health counseling and graduated this year. I’ve taken a non- traditional approach to begin my counseling career in private practice. It’s a small beginning with a few clients, yet it’s motivating me to network with others in the community. I see the potential for people who would be a great fit for the center. It seems like a big vision. Some days it’s hard trying to focus on the day to day aspects of excellent client work and growing a business while also holding onto the dream. Perhaps it’s a season where God is preparing my heart & mind for what He is establishing. Todays word and the word from last week about small beginnings feel like a love notes from God reminding me He’s got this, it’s His plan, and He is faithful in orchestrating the pieces to fulfill the vision.

        1. God is awesome. All the glory honor & praise is His. I’m just excited to be on the this journey & let him steer the ship.💜

  2. I will not grow weary in my waiting. I trust that God will bring to fruition the vision I’ve written down….

  3. Thank you for this devotional. I am reminded of 3 dreams I recently wrote down. Although my current path does not seem to be leading me toward these dreams, I believe in God’s way and timing it will come to pass!
