You can’t force love.

“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” Psalms 17:8, NIV.

When it comes to love, you want the kind that comes naturally, not love that is forced. Maybe there’s someone in your life that you love a great deal, but they don’t feel the same way you do and it makes you want to change in order to keep them interested.

The thoughts in your mind may say, “I can make them love me. I can change and become whatever they want me to be. I can change careers, change my hair, get plastic surgery, have their child, leave everything I know and change the way I behave. They will love me; I just have to…” You shouldn’t have to change yourself to get love. If God loves you just how you are, anyone He sends your way will also love you just how you are.

At the heart of real love is acceptance. Anything you have to change to get, you will have to constantly change in order to keep. Love is most beautiful when it is unforced and not manipulated. Let love happen by God’s divine orchestration. Whatever He sends your way He will give you the grace and wisdom to handle. You may not be the apple of someone’s eye just yet, but you are surely the apple of God’s eye. You may not have a David Jonathan kind of friendship just yet, but you have one with God. He loves you in every state and in every season. He took off His priestly garments and wrapped you in robes of righteousness. You will never be able to reach the bottom of God’s love for you!

Until someone can love you even remotely close to that kind of love, honey they don’t deserve you.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for speaking to my heart. I know You love me. Help me know it in a deeper way. Deal with the deeper fears in me and shine your light on every false view I have of myself. I deserve real love and I trust You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  4. Praise Jesus who is the creator of true love. He took this girl who felt unlove able and told her that he would give her living water. It calmed her soul and she knew she was loved and she didn’t need false love anymore. I love you Jesus

  5. God Bless you! I am a 67-year-old woman who had an extremely loveless life. From the beginning of my life there was turmoil amongst both sides of my family. Last year I learned more truths about my mother. She was verbally abusive towards me since I was a little girl. I took care of her until she died. My father was not a part of my life like he was for my sister and brother. I was my mother’s garbage disposal. I am saved but now I know that God loved me so much that He wouldn’t allow me to have a family of my own. I also grew fond of a man who recently had cancer. I nursed him back to good health. I’ve always took care of other people. God’s Love is sufficient and I do have a heavenly family waiting for me. I am in this world to help others and to lead them to Christ. It is my duty to serve The Lord.

    1. Cynthia thank you for sharing. I believe God has been with you every step of the way as he has been with me. My mom raised us by herself. No dad in the picture. She favored my oldest and youngest sisters. She would go drinking almost every weekend with no thought of being with us as a family. It was all about her party life. She died when I was 19 yrs old. It was difficult. But amazingly I knew God was with me the whole time just as he has been with you. In all that you’ve been through God has taught you to be a compassionate person just as He’s taught me this, too. Recently Rev. Franklin Graham shared this statement from his dad, Rev. Billy Graham:
“Don’t let the burdens and hardships of this life distract you or discourage you, but keep your eyes firmly fixed on what God has promised at the end of our journey: Heaven itself.” His faith has now become sight. By @Franklin_Graham
Cynthia, God has been there for you every step of your life and above all He has loved you beyond measure. All my siblings (5) have past but I have a great Church family and I pray you have one, too. Blessings to you, Cynthia

  7. These words hit me as if they were for me Amen. I have spent my life trying to be loved and thinking as far back as a child what can I do to get love from my Mom Clean cook straight A student do everything for her. Nothing was ever enough. So I looked for it in man and that was a failure. I turned to drugs crime and a lot of being locked up inside and out. I am just now learning no matter what I do I can’t make anyone love me But do too me always trying to change to make people love me I forgot who I am. But God is showing me love that is great and I am not unloved. I just now after 3 years realized I have to let go and let God. Anything is possible with allowing him to lead. Amen

  8. Thank YOU my FATHER GOD” it’s been a very challenging tiresome battle, of LOVE Betrayal unfaithfulness which seemed to have been in a very long season. I shed the tears of pain seemed like one after another but learned by my mistakes and errors and choices. Life is so delicate my LORD When it comes to the Heart. How fragile we are in the flesh. I long to run and dance in the Spirit as YOU Created me too. Only through YOU I can.Oh How I LOVE YOU YOUR Faithful LOVE That YOU give me. Illuminate YOUR LOVE Through my heart that i can give to others. Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah 💖 Hear a just cause, O LORD, attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. 2. Let my vindication come from your presence; let YOUR eyes look at the things that are up right. 3.YOU Have tested my heart; YOU have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposes that my mouth shall not transgressed. 4. Concerning the works of men, by the word of YOUR lips, I have kept away of the path of the destroyer. 5.Uphold my steps in YOUR paths. that my footsteps may not slip. 6. I have called upon YOU for YOU will hear me. and hear my speech. 7Djow YOUR marvelous loving kindness by YOUR Right hand. O YOU who save those who trust in YOU from those who rise up against them. 8. Keep me as the apple of YOUR eye; hide me under the shadow of YOUR wings, Psalms 17:1-8, Hallelujah May I LOVE the way YOU LOVE In YOUR Name my GLORIOUS MIGHTY GOD and KING JESUS CHRIST AMEN AMEN AMEN

  9. Good morning.
Thank you for feeding us with His words daily, the Lord will bless you richly to serve more and better in His Vineyard.
I seem to defer a little on having to change in and for a relationship. Gid loves us the way we are but He desires we are what He created us to be. He wants us to be more like Him. We are created in His image and fashioned after Him.
In relationships there times of give and take in order to be a perfect couple. That will in no way be manipulative but agreed in love.
May the Holy Spirit be our guide always as we minister and be ministered to amen.
