You have been blessed with something far greater.

“Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who is asking you for a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water” John 4:10, Berean Study Bible.

While away on vacation with my husband, I was blessed with an opportunity to share the love of God with someone. God had given me an open door, but I felt timid. I was then reminded of how Jesus ministered to the woman at the well. Jesus saw her need, and He knew He had what she needed. I realized that God had blessed me with something other people want and need, whether they know it or not. The peace I have, the joy I have, the freedom I enjoy, was given to me by God and God wanted me to give it away (see Matthew 10:8). The Lord reminded me that I have been blessed with something far greater than all of the world’s riches and beauty. I had a relationship with the Father. This caused confidence to rise within me. So I allowed God to use me, and the person was moved to tears and was very blessed.

I challenge you, my sister, to let God use you to share His free gift of salvation with others. When He gives you an open door, take it. Focus on their need rather than your fears. Know that if you have surrendered your life to the Lord, you are rich, and you are loaded with spiritual blessings. You have something to offer. Just like with Jesus, if people knew the gift of God that you have within you, they would be asking you for a drink of living water.

Prayer: Father God, I want to be used by you to share your love and your gift of salvation with someone today. You have given me a free gift, and I desire to give that gift away. Use me, Lord. I yield to your Holy Spirit, and I ask you to give me an open door. Help me understand more deeply the gift you have given to me. Let it cause confidence to rise and fear to leave. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
