You have received a new heart.

Whenever someone receives a heart transplant, they are given anti-rejection medicine to take for the rest of their lives. Without the medication, the patient’s immune system will see the new heart as a foreign organ and will began to reject the very thing that was meant to save the person’s life.

When we come into the kingdom of God, 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Because of Jesus, we receive a new heart and a new mind. Without God’s truth renewing our minds daily, we can begin to reject the very one who saved us. Every scripture in God’s word is our GosPill that we are to take every day to help us receive our new identity in Christ. If there is an area you are struggling with, it means you need the anti-rejection medicine of God’s word to help you.

Declare with me out loud: “I have been redeemed and repurchased by the blood of Jesus, not to barely survive, but to thrive. I have been made new in Christ. I have been given a new heart and a new mind, and I receive this new heart and mind by faith. I walk in newness of life. I don’t reject the heart I’ve received. I receive and learn to operate with it. I am a new creation in Christ. I think like Christ. I talk like Christ. I forgive like Christ. I love like Christ. I dominate over sin like Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”

For context, read 2 Corinthians 5:14-17
