Are you constantly trying to change people?

“..work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12, ESV.

God called us to make a difference, not try to make people different. God called us to make a change, not try to make people change. Let’s face it, my sister. We have a hard enough time trying to change ourselves, let alone someone else. If only we learn to accept people the way they are and let God do the rest, I believe we will live a more peaceful life. Don’t let your relationships be ruined because you’re constantly trying to change people.

The truth is you can’t change:

• How people feel
• How people behave
• What people think
• What they believe in their hearts
• How they live their life

However, you can change with God’s help:

• How you feel
• How you behave
• What you think
• What you believe in your heart
• How you live your life

Prayer: Father God, I ask forgiveness for any time I didn’t accept who you’ve accepted, and didn’t love who you love. Forgive me for any time I’ve tried to do your job of changing people. I receive your love and forgiveness. I recognize I am not you. I humble myself right now and ask that you help me to focus on working on me. I choose to let you handle working on others with your love, your power, and your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Good morning Lord of all! I am guilty of trying to change people! I will do my people to believe them when they show me who they are, and not hold it against them! Thank You Father for showing me the way each and everyday! I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  2. Amen.
I surrender ALL, in Jesus name.
I found that my silence is still interrupted as me trying to change them.
I have to believe that when God searches my heart he will find pure intentions.🙏🏾✝️.

  3. Thank You for revealing this aspect of myself…. I need to work on me and let you work in me as well as others. I will show love to my neighbors as You commanded and leave changing them unto You. If I’ve damaged a relationship I know You can repair it. Show me what to do, I will hear and listen.

    1. I just had an incident with a friend of mine. I was being judgmental and I should let God show him he is wrong. Thx for confirming I need to just pray and let God have his way.

  4. This is exactly what I need to hear right now. My son is a prodigal and I’m trying to learn how to Really give him to God.

  5. Very true. I learned this over time. Pray and leave everything and everyone to the Lord, God Almighty. He can do far more than we can. Thank you. Blessings, Shalom and Agape 👀🙏🏽♥️📖🙌🏽

  7. Thank You, Lord! I receive your message as I know I can be guilty of this at times. I can’t play You. I only have control over my own life and actions. Help me to know when I’m crossing the line, Lord, especially when dealing with adults: Let me be settled with the decisions they make and pray to You for discernment, Let me be still and know that You are God! ♥️

  8. Lord

It’s me standing in the need of prayer. Help when I don’t want to be changed from what you initially sent me here to have this human experience.

Encircle me when Bad angels are around.
