“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” I John 4:18, NKJV.
The greatest thing you can do for someone is be honest with them. When you really love someone, the love overpowers any fear. Through prayer and observation, God will show you the truth that could help someone. He will reveal to you what He wants you to say, how He wants you to say it, and when. Usually if you feel so full of vigor to go and tell someone the truth about themselves, it is not the right time or you may not be the right person.
The prophet Nathan approached King David with some truth, but the prophet Nathan had enough reverence and sense to not bring that truth to the king just any kind of way. We also need to walk in the same spirit of respect, humility and wisdom when approaching others. We are to speak the truth in love and let our words be seasoned with grace. This means you care more about the person than you do about yourself. We never have to worry about tactfulness when our hearts are full of genuine love for someone. We never have to worry about how the truth will be received when we know the same God who gave us instructions on how to share will be the same God who will give the person instructions on how to receive it. We can trust the Lord with whatever He has given us that will help others grow.
Pray before you speak the truth with someone. Ask the Lord for these three things: What to say? How to say it? And when to say it? Do these in your relationships and you won’t go wrong.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for your precious Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth. Rest, rule and abide in me. Help me to be honest with you, honest with myself, and honest with others. Lord never let me speak truth to someone with an attitude of pride like I’m better and have no shortcomings at all. Lord, help me to share with an attitude of humility, realizing you are still working on me too. Reveal to me what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. I trust you to handle the other person’s feelings and response. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for this reminder.
Lord, help me to be honest with myself about my own shortcomings but also to be honest and help other people, too. Let me quickly seek your guidance before I speak to someone else. Don’t let me say anything that will beat them down but encourage them to continue in you. I know I fall short every day
Thank you…So needed in this season!

Good morning Father God, most caring and honest One! Father, I have tried to communicate with my whole heart, but I fall short. I know I’m not perfect, because if I were, I would be sitting beside You, instead of here. When I speak, I know that I am speaking to imperfect people as well. I try my best not to offend anyone, but it seems to happen anyway. In the prayer I just read above, I understand why it happens now! Forgive me Father God for offending You and Your children! Even though I speak from a place of live, it’s still an imperfect place! Give me the what, the how and the when to speak. Also, help me to be truthful in all the is revealed as well Lord God! I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
