Don’t belittle your gifts. They work every time!

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes]” James 1:17, Amplified.

We all have been given perfect gifts. You don’t have to be jealous of someone else’s gifts and desire theirs instead of what God gave you. For example, let’s say God may have put in your hands the skill to make straws, but someone else to manufacture Ferrari’s. God has made you, and the gifts that He put in you, no matter what they are, will work too. They may sell a million Ferrari’s a year, but everyone uses straws. You sell a million straws a day, making just as much money, if not more, than the person that can build a Ferrari.

All of our perfect gifts are all given by a perfect God. He never fails, and He works every time. Let the perfection of your gifts be a reminder of the perfection of your God. Whatever He put in you will work every time because its Author is the true and living God, perfect in all His ways. Perfect in the design of man. Perfect in how He made you. Don’t belittle your gifts. Be encouraged to have faith in what He gave you. Take them and use them for His glory! Your blessing is in your gifts.

Prayer: Father, I love you, and I thank you. You have made me perfect gifts. They work every time. Help me discover every gift and talent you’ve put in me, and may I use them for your glory. Cause me to be a great blessing with them, and at the same time, be greatly blessed through them, even financially. Your will is that I have an abundant life. Thank you for divinely helping me use my gifts to bring all you’ve ordained for me to pass. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

  1. Before I finished reading this devotional, I told myself, this was by Uncle Bernard. Yes I said Uncle lol as. I thank you for this as it has blessed me. I also thank everyone who partakes in the devotionals. The wisdom that was given and learned through experiences that have been shared has really helped me and other women who follows. I don’t always have the time to comment , but I wanted to make sure that I made time to say thank you to everyone in the DOTK community.

  10. Good morning God! Thank You for my gifts! Please help me to discover them all, most gracious Father! You are the center of my being and I thank You! I love You with everything in me! I feel safe every minute of everyday because of You. This gives me the courage to try to figure out my gifts without fear! I love You God! I pray these things in Jesus Christ name, Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  11. Dear God, I admit that I have been feeling low these past several weeks and have not been utilizing my gifts and talents like I should. Thank You for reminding me to get back up and put them back to use! I don’t want to waste away all that You’ve provided me especially since one of my goals is to donate a portion of my earnings to a charity. Thank You, Jesus!! ♥️
