Get up, my sister!

“I will not die, but I will live and proclaim what the LORD has done” Psalm 118:17, Berean Study Bible.

I remember years ago, while on a getaway with my husband, I became very sick. I could barely stand, had chills all over my body, and no desire to eat. While in bed, barely able to move, the Holy Spirit said, “Get up!” I heard His voice loud and clear. He said, “It’s your anniversary, and you’re not about to spend it in bed sick. Get up!” As soon as I heard those words, by faith, I leaped out of bed and began pacing the floor, still feeling weak but praying in the Holy Ghost. I declared I was healed by the stripes of Jesus. As I paced the floor, God’s healing power touched my body, and I was strengthened, and I was healed! As I began praising the Lord, my husband walked into the room and said, “Praise God!”

Yes, praise God for His life-giving power! Praise God that He can take our sickly bodies and give them new life! Praise God the power of His Word can raise us up out of any sick bed and out of any low place. God wants to raise you up today and cause you to not only experience His power but walk in His healing power. Get up, my sister! Get up! You are not spending your days sick in bed. You have more life to live. More places to go. More things to do. Speak over yourself and declare you are healed by the stripes of Jesus!

Confession: I am God’s baby girl, a daughter of the King, and chosen by God to do great things for His glory. Sickness has no power over me. Disease has no victory over my life. The precious blood of Jesus covers me from head to toe. I walk in divine health through Jesus. I live a divine life through Jesus. I receive by faith the strength of the Lord to my entire being. I command my body to respond to the power of the Holy Spirit. I command peace in my mind and peace in my soul. I have work to do for God’s kingdom, and I’m not going anywhere until my work here is done. The Lord will continue to preserve my life and keep me healthy and strong until He calls me home. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

(Read Philippians 3:10; Isaiah 53:5)
