Leave pride behind.

May this final day of 2023 see us grateful for God walking alongside us this year. Habakkuk 2:4 says, “Behold, the proud, his soul is not upright within him; but the just shall live by his faith.” As the year comes to a close and we think on what we want to carry with us into the new year, let us remember what to leave behind, mainly pride. Let 2024 see us gratefully giving God total control and following Him faithfully, enjoying a peaceful joy to which nothing compares.

Prayer: Gracious and wise Lord, we thank you for washing away our sin, especially the pride that separates us from you and keeps us from your very best. We ask that you always direct our paths and fill our hearts with your perfect love, allowing us to become more and more like your Son, Jesus. It is in His precious name we pray. Amen!
