You can go through it!

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17, Berean Study Bible

While on a recent trip with my husband and some friends, we went riding in an ATV. I knew the vehicle was built for the rough terrain, but it took some time for it to register that I had nothing to worry about. So, when it came time for me to drive, I happily got behind the wheel and away we went over rocks and deep gorges in the earth. Then, I came to a small body of water, and I slowed down out of worry, thinking this is not going to end well for us. Then, everyone in the ATV said, don’t slow down! You can go!” And I drove forward laughing because for a brief moment, I thought I was in my car back at home, and I knew there was no way my car could handle this. I had to remember I was in an ATV, with just the right tires and suspension to handle the rough terrain.

I tell you, my sister, maybe you’ve encountered a situation and you’re worried you don’t have what it takes to get through it. Maybe you remember you are in Christ until you face something deep, dark and hurtful and God has to remind you that you have been reborn into a new kingdom with a new recreated spirit, a new heart and mind of Christ that you are learning how to walk with. He reminds you that He is surrounding you completely and is with you. Because you are in Christ, you can handle anything life throws at you. Because you are in the toughest spiritual ATV ever, which is Jesus, you can go over it, you can down it, and you can go through it!

Prayer: Father, thank you the old is gone and the new has come. Thank you for this new spirit, new heart and mind of Christ you are teaching how to operate with. When I face challenges, help me remember how you have fashioned me in Christ, I can handle whatever life brings with your help. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Thank you, God for having Keisha put this post out for today because I needed this boost of encouragement to keep going and to know that whatever comes my way, I can do it because I have this the strength through Christ to do all things.

Just before I open this devotional I was thinking about when I meet this man named Marc and I told him my story and how I have Hardware in three places and I’ve had injuries in surgeries. He might be tempted to think this is more than I can take on, but I’m gonna say no Whatever happens because we have gotten us and it’s not by my not by our power but by his spirit, we can overcome anything we go through anything. .
So thank you God for answering my prayer.
